- swap out fender well headers for in frames and build 2 into 1 exhuast
- updated 4-inch springs
- 33" km2's
- lock rite up front and rebuild posi in rear
- chromo shafts up front
- sm465 or sm420 tranny swap

sorry about the links havent got posting pics nailed down yet.

it already has a mystery 4 inch? lift on it, the 33's. i will post up some pics of the hard top i picked up tomorow

.

The only "constructive critisim" I have thus far, is to use another image host, as not all of us have facebook accounts...

Also, do you have any pics of the hardtop?

.

pics of hard top, going to have to cut off channel for soft top on the windsheild frame for it to fit properly

i dont think it is hand made, i have seen a couple of cj6's on the web with tops almost exactly like this one.

thanks again Msperlazza for the deal on the top

not much progress today, did start cutting the soft top channel off of the windsheild frame. lots of fun since the grinder is M.I.A. and i dont have air tools here

Any updates, it has been almost a week?

Any updates, it has been almost a week?

not yet, been working overtime everynight since i went back from vacation havent had time to mess with it. my goal for this week is to get it back running right, hopefully points and a new coil will do the trick

.

Good luck, and keep us posted!

.

well got it back running today, bad condensor and the wrong coil. but now the radiator is bubbling over after running about five minutes any ideas?

well not much progress to show. did get a set of seats bolted in sliding/reclining high backs out of a 260z and bolted the top down drove it up and down the road:driver: for the first time in a few months glad to have it moveable again:D

havent got anything pic-worthy done, but have did get new valve cover gaskets on and took it up to texico thids past saturday. the first time it has gone past the end of the dirt road in over a year. blew a coolant bypass hose but it needed replaced anyways. works keepin me to busy to mess with it :shaking:

Well finally got some more work done on it the last couple days. Thanks to early birthday present from my fiancee. Installed new starter, replaced all coolant hoses, and bolted up a set of fenderwell headers bc i actually have exhaust that will work with them (temporary until can afford inframes and run custom exhaust). Now just need new ignition switch altenator (got to find part# for gm one-wire) and new belt. It should be road ready then:driver:. Just for fun i bent a stinger for it should have it burnt in tonight

Wow nice hard top and doors ,did they come with a badge and gun?Sorry if anyone else posted anything similar to this,my attention span is too short to read all the posts..........

i agree with the armored car look, i like it and its defanitly different. got more info on the top from what i can find its a mid 60s Koenig Steel works top...... kinda changed the look a little with the new bumper

I will burn it in tomorow night

what yall think?

lol, youshould get some BRINKS decals to put on it.

that would be kool. you know come to think about it the body shop thats in my building at work does body work for Dunbar armored services...hmmmm

lookin good buddy! glad everything (parts) worked out! i like the stinger too!
thanks for halping her out with that. the stinger is the first thing that i have ever bent up, made it out of a tie rod from a 9200 pro star (road tractor):D

Well i got fenderwell headers and exhuast hung. Waiting on new alternator to get in and it will be road worthy after two years. Shame i got a speeding ticket the other day, now i dont have the cash to tittle and tag it :shaking:

I updated original post as build plan has changed some:

leave it spring under (get better set of springs)
no tube fenders
33" tires max
no cutting of quarters

Btw cant belive i didnt get any comments from the stinger haters lol

.

Any updates on this build?

.

Not much started painting it a few weeks back but with moving and planning for the weddimg things with the jeep came to a stop. Still collecting parts: tailgate, sm420, possibly new enigne in the 360 ci variety. Hopefully work will pick back up with it after the wedding, jan 1

wow its been a while since i was able to do an update:
almost finished painting it, nothing fancy just something to make it all two colors

installed new battery 625cca heavyduty (one used in 18 wheelers) and beefy 2 alt cables. need to build a holddown

have a 360 on the way from upnover

burned in the front bumper finally. helped alot with frame deflection when steering. ditched the stinger though.

will get some pics up when have a little better weather to take them

**** still looking for a tailgate****
