hard top paint

paint on my YJ hard top is flaking away. anybody painted one before? if so, what paint would you recommend?

krylon sells some hammered or textured paint that looks good on a hardtop

^ x2 , plus it holds onto surfaces alot better than your average spay paint. its what i painted my CJ top with

Rust-o-leum Hammered Strong and looks good, cool texture. Best art is the texture hides imperfections in the painting job.

scrape off all the old paint..

Sand down the bare top with some high grit sandpaper.

Primer top.

Paint top with any of the above mentioned paints.

Maybe look into clearcoating it. The sun will not be nice to it.
