So the mountain slid into the top of lower rock garden. There are two boulders at the base of the fish fossil climb out and there is a wash out of the trail leading into killin time. So bad I couldn’t run killin time. When did all this happen. Only picture I have now is the lower rock garden slide.

It was like that in April. There had been a lot of cleanup but that stuff hadn't been touched.

We have had a ton of rain since the first of the year it won't go 3 days without rain and dry up long enough to get much work done. I think we are like over10 to 12 inches of rain for the year right now. I don't know the new park manager to well to know how well he will take care of the park time will tell. If i get a chance i will talk to him to see what his plans are to get them places cleaned up.

We meet a dozer on the main trail at the switchback. It's gone I was able to make that turn without backing up. My jeep steers like a tractor trailer too. I figured it was rain and it got me to wondering if Helene dumped some up here too. But if you all have had that much rain it all makes since. There are a shit tone of hanging trees. I ran Mason Jar and there are trees down all over up there. One huge oak laying in the right line near the entrance.

I found this on top a mountain about 15 miles from Black Mt Offroad Park I was delivering an excavator bucket to a strip job a while back just to show how much water we have got here lately. Lol
Wow. That’s crazy. What’s going on at the VA line on 421? Are they taking out the hairpin turn?

They are going to straighten out the mountain road to the bottom. Hopefully they are going to tie it all the way into the new part. I hear it going to be like a 8% grade to the bottom. They say they are working on it time will tell.

They have several large dump trucks up there and all kinds of equipment. You can see where they are working on it. I hope they do tie it in that should save some time getting into Harlan from that direction.

They say it will take about 1.5 years to complete to the bottom. They are saying that they want to complete the road to the new section so they can get it off the list of projects the state has to do.
