Got back yesterday from wheeling Black Mountain Offroad Rec. Park outside of Harlan.

What a great place to ride. Had nice warm and sunny weather on Friday then rain and cooler on Saturday. Glad the weather held out 'cause its rough out there now!

Did Your Turn and took the easy out. On way back down to check on a buddy lost a tire. This was the only time I got a photo.

Oh and Fish Fossil has TOTALLY changed!

Always, it's my favorite place to wheel

yea man we saw you several times over the weekend. camped directly behind the dairy hut.
glad you had a good time as we did too. our group broke nothing but a power steering
hose---- a trip to harlan got us fixed up quickly.
went wheelin and a wedding broke out. colin and nicole got married on the lower rock garden.
nice service by rev jimmy. ricky b was the photo guy so i'm sure you'll be seeing some awsome photos.
what good weather we had---really didn't rain till saturday afternoon late.

Some others in our crew saw the wedding. It was their first trip up and they were blown away by the place. They couldn't believe the wedding. To be honest, I thought they were pulling my leg!

Sounds like a blast. I knew some folks from the forum were there, too bad we didn't get to chew the fat for a bit. Seems like I was either in camp cooking/fixing stuff or in gear rolling somewhere.

I got lucky and my only issue was a beat up rim. A pipe wrench and some air and I was good to go. Other than that a Sammi suffered three broken axles and one drive shaft. Overall a success!

We did have great weather. I just ended up night wheeling too late on Saturday so I mostly remember the rain!

My favorite place thus far in my short life!! Pinball was pretty tough on my little sammi with no wheelbase but other than that it was a riot!!!

our group makes at least two runs at black mountain a year. it's by far our favorite place
to go.
what a pretty wedding it was too --- can't wait for the pix.

and yea if we had known yall were from our area we'd have liked to chew it over and wheeled
with ya.

I don't know the folks who got married, but CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I make two trips a year usually (spring and fall). I would be glad to wheel with y'all anytime we can make it happen.

Im the guy that walked up to your rig and looked at it for a minute at the Dairy Hut. We were wondering if it was a truggied 80. I guess yall were enjoying the tater munchers.

Hey sorry man. I didn't even notice. That dairy hut food was the first thing I ate all day. I def had tater vision. I think the whole crew was hurting for calories.

My rig is a 83 fj60. Was in a crash before I got it. So I chopped it up.

I did notice your rig as we passed at lower rock garden at night. You can't miss it, very unique.

Congratulations, I was with the group providing the "pre-wedding" entertainment in the rock garden.---- Jimmy getting up just before the " I Do's"

Theres an easy out on your turn???? when did that happen????

I must be confused as to which trail I was on. It was a creek bed that has a series of ledges on it (hahah real descriptive huh). It opens up and the main line crosses another line and the out is an obvious line. Its steep with a 3' ledge on the right near the bottom.

Entrance to the trail is in a large curve and a small 4wheeler trail rides up and to the left. Mid trail there is a huge boulder (house size) on the passenger side. I was just following, but the guys I was with said it was Your Turn. Who knows... I will see if there are more photos for clarification.

Sounds like railbed.

Not rail bed. I know where that is. This trail is off of 20 I think.

Left the campsite, went up the main road, took a left, toodled for a while and took a right in a left hand curve and that was it.

HEY!

Thanks for the congrats ... I was wondering how many places on the interwebs our wedding pics would end up :D Link to it here if ya see them anywhere else!

It was by far the most fun I've had in a while, hopefully everyone else can say the same :)

Couldn't have had a better way to say our 'I Do's' ... we met in Tellico, wheel as much as we can, and what better place than Harlan to get hitched, wheel, and spend time with our fav people.

BEST WISHES TO YOU AND YOUR BRIDE!

Sounds like killin time

Must be. I can't find my trail map. I was thinking that Killing Time was above lower rock garden. Had em switched around I reckon. No easy out on that one! After riding the whole place a few times on dirt bikes I just don't pay attention to the signs anymore, just drive! Even more guilty of not looking at trail names when following a group.

Either way, what a bad ass place to wheel. Great trails. I wish I could have Rail Bed in my back yard! :driver:
