Uriah's broken 9" ring and pinion

Will broken dana 60 flange

I can *guess* that u-joint binding caused the failure of the front 60 flange, but what took out the 9" R&P?

Will had turned down his 60 flange to match his toyota driveshaft and made it to thin. He had already welded it back togther once on the trip when it broke again. Not sure on the 9" it broke just about everything the bearing caps and thrust blocker were all in pieces when we took it apart. We tried to drive his jeep home in front wheel drive when his front CV joint killed itself. We thought for sure he was going to have to pay to get it towed home when out of the blue at 11:30 at night in a gas station in middle of virgina this guy says he has a 9" third that was already setup for 31 spline shafts. Uriah was so lucky to find that we still didn't get back until 3:30am but at least we made it.

Sweet! That other rock garden looks awesome!! Can't wait to go back. Wish I could have stayed with you guys! Sounds like the trip back was exciting as well. We made it home around 7pm or so Sunday evening... Enjoyed meeting and wheeling with you Dan - your TJ works really well!

Geez...my comment was more directed at Mac and his buddies as a compliment for pics from a location I haven't seen. I still look at the the flexd up TJ's and such on here, I've just seen 100 versions of the same pic, it was refreshing to see some new territory. Hell, for that matter I'm tired of seeing rigs laid on their side in pics from the playground, but I still look at them. Don't get your panties all bunched up over a comment that wasn't directed at you, I had the best time this weekend watching two guys flog their STOCK Sami's over what would have been a cake walk for most mildly built rigs. Sorry if you guys took it the wrong way and I still drive over that rock at UNF whenever I'm there...

nice pics mac and co. looks like a sweet place, post up when you guys plan another ride, i might try and tag along if the wife lets me....

and greg you are just an assface man:flipoff2:

mac and can opener what else can I say. It took some serious peir pressure be we got him. No more grocery getter.

Hey - it's still a grocery getter - it's just delivers to more extreme locations. I think I'll get a vanity plate - GRCYGETR :D

the only window he hasnt broken now is on the back hatch....but its coming:D

I will try and post some more pictures from the guys that stayed on Monday. We spent more time wheeling than snapping photos...but thats seems to be what happens when the group gets smaller. We found 2 more tough rock-hillclimbs that are similar RattleRock or a slick Lower2. Great place to wheel...and only a 6 hour drive from Charlotte. Just dont ask a the guy behind the parts counter at Advance in Bristol how to get there...

Great pics. I would love to get up there sometime. Should not be to hard now that I got a tow rig ...... no wait I think I might need a trailer to tow it with to:D
