you going drkelly?

No, I will be at work. I am just jealous.

Don't ask John for directions to the trail head. He got us lost all to hell at about 2am a couple of years ago. Ask Scott what happened.

The Sami's first trip out ever.

Kyle's Jeep decided to kerplod on the way home. 130,000 miles old.

Good pics, doesn't Greg(blue 4runner) look sooo happy about his new body damage.

Yeah, Kyle said that the truck was pretty much spotless before the trip. Makes for some great pics though.;)

What happened to the Grand that blew up? Was there a rod knocking or any warning? I was under the impression those were decent motors.

He was towing the Zuk back. Everything was fine. He was driving down a road with those temporary concrete walls and he started to hear what sounded like a knock echoing off the wall. The oil pressure was fine, the temp was fine. Then he said it just blew up without warning, fire and oil shooting out of the engine. All in a about a minute from first hearing the knock. Catastrophic failure.

In the process of talking to different mechanics and such he found out that it is not uncommon for the 4.7 to just give up. It started up when we went back to get the trailer. It sounded a bit bad if you can imagine.

Sounded a bit bad is an understatement. It was throwing out pieces of rod when we had it running.
But, that jeep suprised the hell out of me when it was running. Kyle had no problem keeping up with a few turned up PSDs.

Yeah, the jeep must have been pissed at me for talking about trading it in. I had taken very good car of it, though, no clue why the engine grenaded. Want to give a BIG THANK YOU to Travis and all his friends who helped me get a good deal on an engine. Got one will be here today with only 16K miles. It's nice to have good friends! Now, just gotta get the engines swapped out, and back to work on the ZUK.

And for the record, when Kyle flopped in the rock garden, he was pushed.

That was actually pretty funny. I kept trying to get him back all weekend! Must have rear-ended him 8-10 times!
