Wanting to go to Harlin this fall was wondering from those who has been, best place to stay near trails, from what I read cabins near putney trail head? Also assuming no breaking how many trails could be done in a couple days? Harder ones if my rig can pull them off LOL

You can see most of Harlan in a long weekend. The trails are different every time I go. Weather conditions will make a huge difference too.

I am not too hard core built so I usually end up with repairs needed. I push my junk further each trip. Some places are pretty remote so be prepared.

Never stayed in a cabin. Always camp on the Evarts side.

X2 on the cabin sleepin. So much nicer than pitching a tent.

We stayed at the little inn of harlan. It is a bed and breakfast in Harlan. It is a 15 minute ride to the trail head in Evarts. It was very nice place to stay and very reasonable.

We always camp behind the Dairy Hut in Evarts. Gas station across the street that has breakfast. NCTTORA is going up there 26-28 October.

I like Evarts b/c you are right there for everything (gas groceries and a Dollar General) and you can just drive your rig or atv into town (less than a mile)we camped at Evarts North RV campground, (we tent camped) they had decent showers, wifi and the people were really nice, 15 bucks per tent per nite no matter the size of the tent! next trip my old army tent will pbly be brought out haha!!

James whites rental houses are good on the evarts ....trails depends on rig and how comfortable you are in it... Try out lower damnation, killing time, fish fossil, the water fall, rail bed, grape vine, mason jar just to name a few

I too would say the campground behind the dairy hut is very convienent, breakfast at the gas station and the monster cheeseburger at the dairy hut is a good super.

Tater Munchers and hot fudge cake are the shiznit!

We will have 10+ rigs and we tent/rv/truck camp behind Dairy Hut.

Full hook ups and ceramic heaters in our tents FTW ! Electric blankets are a bonus. Footlong hot dogs, the chuck wagon sandwich, tater munchers, and HOT FUDGE CAKE sustain me for however long I'm there.
