My daily beater threw up wed and now I need to do a head gasket, and while Iam at it have the head done valve job resurface etc. well parts and machine shop costs are $500+\-

These guys have a reman long block with 2yr 24000 mile warranty for $700, has anyone used these guys??

I did some research on them a few months back when needing an engine for my 4runner. I think I found a few post on here from people saying they wouldn't recommend them. Don't remember the reasons but it was enough to keep me away.
 
I know one guy with one of his engines but he doesnt dd the truck so it doesnt have much time on the motor, it run pretty good though
 
I know a guy that really takes his time and does things right. Unfortunately, he is in the middle of tearing his rig down and rebuilding it. Dosent have a whole lot of free time right now. Hope you find something quick.

if his attention to detail in wording for his ad is any indication of his work in a machine shop, I'd be a little leery,

barings ? really ?

last time I checked, the head itself is the bearing surface for the cam in a 22R head ( and most other OHC engines )
I think if I were placing an ad for my business services, I'd at least pay attention to spelling, maybe accurate subject matter if I'm targeting a specific market.

FYI a complete new head with valves, springs and keepers can be had for $270+ assembled ( check Rockauto.com )

All engines are rebuilt using quality parts and have a 2 year/ 24,000 mile written warranty. We also offer an R&R (replacing and installing the new engine) for $750, plus $100 for small parts.

We are a FULL machine shop. All work is done in house.

All engines are bored out and honed to new state. Blocks are hot tanked and painted. New cam barings are installed, along with: new pistons and rings, new main barings and rod barings, new cam and lifters, new timing, new oil pump, new oil pump screen, and a full gasket set (which includes all the gaskets that are needed to install the engine properly). Heads are hot tanked and pressure checked to ensure that they are not cracked. Seats are given a 3 angle valve job. Heads are resurfaced and springs are checked.
