Has anyone ever put a rubicon 44 in a cherokee?

I just picked up a low mileage 04 rubicon dana 44 that has a "bent" tube for cheap. I'm in the process of collecting parts for my xj build. Mine needs brakes and pinion seal and I wanted a locker that was selectable and 4.10s because I intend in dd this thing and only running 33s for now at least. I figured I could straighten the housing out and put some sleeves in it and have a solid front end and everything I wanted for a fraction of the cost. Has anyone done this or heard of it? Thoughts on this??

Plenty of people have done it. TJs and XJs have the same front suspension so it is a bolt-in swap, no different than when people take hp30s from XJs and swap them into TJs.

What I thought.. should be a good upgrade to the Cherokee project then..
