Has anyone here gotten their NC Tax Refund yet?

Three weeks ago I e-filed my taxes. Normally it takes 8-14 days to get a refund. I got my federal refund 14 days later, but still no NC refund.

They normally deposit the money on Fridays, so looks like it'll be another week (at least) before those thieves give me my money.

Not that I need it or anything, I just don't trust them to have it! :lol:

Has ANYONE gotten theirs yet? I haven't talked to anyone who has.
 
yeah last week. Filed 2/13
 
I freakin have to pay :shaking: so they are not getting theirs til 4/15.
 
I got my 1040 back because they couldn't read it. I freakin used H&R Tax Cut and printed it out on the computer. They sent me a new form to fill out so I guess they want me writing everything out by hand??? WTF?
 
Oh yeah that reminds me, guess I should file mine :rolleyes:
 
I got mine, files 2-8. Its nice to have 2200 to throw away into body lifts, ignitions, tons of fab work and tranny work. BTW I need a used 44*15 ground hawg, half tread; or if you got a full set. PM me and we can work something out.
 
I know I got my Federal, not sure about State....it was only a dollar though :rolleyes:
 
just got it this week, probably filed 3 weeks ago or more, it took FOREVER to get the NC back.

I got ~$800 more back on my federal return than TurboTax figured it out to be, can't believe the fed's actually gave up the $ at will. Guess they are all about throwin money around these days whats another $800?
 
I don't know if they are busy or what but I e-file mine the first of Febuary and it took around 8 days for them to direct deposit it in my acount. I actually got my state back faster then federal which has never happen before.
 
Novel concept....what about altering your W2s so you dont get money back next year?
 
I'm amazed at how broke they are. The money they spend (at least the Easley group) is unbelievable.

I'm so glad I could loan them the money for their helicopter flights to the beach, the frivolous renovation on the gov. mansion, the new helicopter, etc.

I assume you mean W-4's?

I do taxes (volunteer on base) and have had many folks complaining about the state (NC and many others) not paying yet. If they go beyond a certain date they should pay interest.

On that note I don't pay State taxes anywhere and I got my monster check from the Fed's already.

To those not getting your checks you are not alone, many are having the same issues.
 
And another week goes by. From what I've read:

"state law provides the department 45 days after April 15 – or after a late return is filed – to issue a refund before interest starts accruing on the refund."

Such bullshit. Should be 45 days after the return is filed. Can you imagine me going to the store to return something and them saying "sure, we'll give you your money back, but it'll take 45 days from 2 months from now."
 
got mine back in fast. filed on a wednesday got the refund deposited the friday after that week so 8 days or so for both state and federal to be deposited. never had a problem using turbo tax for several years now.
