I let all the little kids go home before we cleared the block with this one. Quarter pound of the hottest black powder (FFFG). Sealed with hot glue into a used mortar tube. Waterproof cannon fuse with the length cut for about 30 seconds. I can still see the flash when I close my eyes!

Wanna hear my fireworks story? I bet not.

Dimwits next door were shooting off a crapload of big stuff when we got home about 9pm. Went back to the dog lot to get Blaze. Gone...scared him bad enough to clear a 5' chainlink fence. Grrrrr. Morons. Spent a couple hours searching and calling close in, drove around some, just now -- 3 a.m. -- got back from walking around the "block" - 5.9 miles on the roads looping around the woods in the direction I think he went off in. Carried his big squeaky toy, high pitched and carries a long way. Had dogs barking all over the place. No Blaze. Man, I hate fireworks.

Oh man that's terrible. Have you found him or do you think he will come home? I was afraid this would happen to one of our dogs that we usually leave in the fence if we are going out. So I put him and our newest pup in the kennel inside the house.

No luck. From what I can figure we got 3 things going for us. My email and cell are on his tag, my vets info is on his rabies tag, and he is chipped.

I think it is unlikely he will come home on his own now. And probably just as slim i will find him by riding around as we border on, a rural area, he could have gone a mile in the direction i think he went, and cross the road at any point.

People were shooting off fireworks all around last night. He probably zigzagged all over to avoid them.

Welp the 1 percent happened ... He eats at 715 every morning. He walked up on the porch at 714.

Stupid dogs.
so stupid he came back to the place where he is well fed and loved and taken care of?????

stupid like a fox haha !!!!!

glad he came back man!!!!

Glad he came home, I like Kaiser, he is a cool dog.
My Pit crawls under the desk every time it thunders, but will go the skeet range with me and pick up the ejected shotgun shells and bring them to me. Go figure.

Yep, Thats Mark. Small world, huh? You will have to mess with him about the big bang. He is going to basic in August and then Ft Seal Oklahoma for artillary school. I thought I would give him a head start on the mortars!

Yup sure is. Need to make some real m-80s, they'll make a nice little pop.

i am a fan of the ''pop''! That mortar tube had 3 inches of powder in it then sealed with hot glue. Mark said it left a crater.
I know a guy... Real well...;) That has weighted fish bombs that are made very similar to this. It will stun the biggest catfish and he will float right up. Pick out the winners and the rest start swimming off in a few minutes. Sometimes its ok when they dont bite!

High Rock, Tillery, Tucker Town... You dont hear a boom underwater. Find them with the fish finder, cut your fuse to length so it dosent burn a long time under water, and float off so the spray dosent soak you. Under the train bridge on High Rock always produces.

Dimbulb got out again tonight. Neighbor had him tied up at his place when we got home. Guess now he knows that he can escape, and how to do it, so there's no stopping him. I think the fence is gonna get a hot wire along the top.

When we first fenced in the dog lot I had to dig a trench and wire the bottom of the chainlink into concrete.

Maybe I just need to get one of his legs cut off.

Update...Blaze can now get out and beat me back around to the front of the house.

I moved a security camera back there, caught him about a minute later. Going over the back fence, he has to run a couple hundred yards to beat me to the porch.

Here's the video...
