Anybody have one, I'm thinking of putting one in my 84 Yota w 33s, along w a new flywheel. Zoom has a perf. set for slightly less. Stock 82 engine, but I abuse clutches on ocassion :driver:

The last few clutches I stuffed into a Toyota I had made by a local shop to be super beefy. I don't ride a clutch often, just usually dump it and make the rig jump up and go. I think for my next clutch I will get one from Marlin. You get what you pay for.

The 1200lb Marlin set is'nt much more $$ than the Hayes ( I think ) and the Hayes is advertised to be stronger than oems 900lb? strength, IMO the stock ones don't like to be dumped on w 33s or larger. I almost never ride them, but do some high rpm dumping occasionally and otherwise use lots of throttle on the road. I'm gonna try the Hayes I think, thanks for the replys.

You should be fine. Better than a stocker for sure. I should have clarified earlier, the clutches I had made were solid brass pucks and had very poor road manners. Would make the truck hop up and down as you let out the clutch; almost convulsing. But with that clutch offroad you could red line it and side step the clutch never getting a hint of slip!

Post up and let us know how the Hayes treat ya.
