If you bought a Toshiba HD DVD player or a Microsoft Xbox 360 HD DVD player accessory model 9Z5-00013 from Best Buy before Fed 23, they are offering you a consolation prize of a $50 Best Buy Gift Card.
Yeah, that TOTALLY makes me feel better about dropping 300 bucks on this piece of crap 4 months ago, Grrrr...

Nobody gave ME $50 as a consolation for my Betamax VCR.

...me too... got the HDDVD for my 360, paid $179 and was supposed to get a BUNCH of movies but cannot find the receipt..

Not sure if I will get the Best Buy card or not...but would really love to see Microsoft step up here and trade us some Blu-Ray attachments for the HD-DVDs...

It really is just a matter of time before the Class - Action lawsuit so that some lawyers can get rich and we can get like $10... :D

Call the customer service number on their website, I paid cash for mine and don't have the receipt anymore either.
They can look up the purchase. You have to know the date you got it, roughly, how much you paid for the total purchase, if you bought anything else that visit and the store you got it at.
There was a bit of a wait to get to a rep but it wasn't too bad yesterday, about 10 minutes.
