He Rammed it.....

I'm was pretty close to doing the same thing to kernersville dodge when they ruined the paint and windows on my truck the SECOND time after specifically being asked not to wash the truck.

I can't believe they flew a helicopter all the way to smithfield to film glass frames in a dump truck and a guy vacuuming up shattered glass...........maybe they thought it was a terrorist attack? or the dealership would not let the news crew on the property?

They probably didn't want the bad press.A friend of mine is in the middle of a NASTY divorce.Im talkin cops.courts, jail, restraining orders the whole nine yards. He took his wifes 2yo King ranch and traded it even for a 5 year econo box at the Ford place.By the time she figured out where it was they had already sold it.I reckon the new owners were signing the papers on it and she ran in and locked herself in the truck.A short stand off ensued and after she threatened to drive thru the place they deployed the taser on her ass.I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall.I was told it made a huge scene with cops,a dog and fire trucks.

Was probably a drone.

Everybody uses them now. We cut a tree down in highpoint at a job site(not on our jobsite property, it was in the right of way of business 85). Few weeks later we had a meeting with the city about permits and they asked us about the tree. We tried to play dumb but they had drone photos a few days before we cut the tree, photos of us cutting the tree, and photos of us grinding the stump.

What were they washing it with, Brillo pads?

Looked like it and I think they used a bag of gravel to dry it. It scratched the windshield so bad you could hardly see out of it at night.

Got a older retired Korean Vet here in town I drink beers with occasionally at the Legion. The Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge/Ram dealer here in sleezville took the old dudes truck in on trade and sent him home over the weekend in his new Ram. Said come back Monday and we’ll finish the paperwork and financing. Shows up Monday to find out he didn’t qualify for the “great deal” they promised him so he said “oh well just give me my old truck back and sorry for the hassle but I’ll be on my way”. Come to find out they sold his old truck on Saturday and dick danced him around till he got a lawyer about getting HIS money for HIS truck they sold!! What a shit show.

@skyhighZJ next time you are in the Legion ask for Jody (aka Dirty Poppy) Dowden. Good ole dude I worked with back in the day. Tell him Shane from the mountains told you to look him up. When you find him if you call him Dirty Poppy he will know you’re good people.

That's a classic sleazy car dealer tactic. Get someone hooked and happy with the deal, and then when they come back, say you cant give them the deal you promised. If they cave, and still want it anyway, you make more money than originally expected (that's the entire reason to do it). If they don't cave, you lose the deal completely because they walk, or you have to back down to the original price if you haven't poisoned the customer already. If you're a really stupid dealer, you get rid of the trade to try and force your hand to make the customer cave, because you're so confident that they'll roll over and take it. This all hinges on a lack of proper deal paperwork, so it's hard to prove that a bait-and-switch occurred.
I've had two dealers try to do that same shit in the past to me, but without the trade-in bullshit. I haven't even bought many cars, so it's a pretty high incidence for me (but I look young so no mystery about trying to take advantage of me).

Sounds like you need a credit union and quit screwing with dealer financing. My wife and I have purchased 2 new cars and financed several used purchases. The first one, in our mid twenties, was actually through Toyota financing and was no issue. The rest have been through my credit union and they've beat anything the dealers could offer and no hassle.

We also don't "shop". We go in knowing exactly what vehicle we're buying, and how much we're willing to pay for it.

I don't dealer finance. They just tried to adjust the deal after the fact to see what they could get away with. Walked and went to another dealer.

I either use my credit union or I use LightStream, which has better interest rates than my credit union and they don't ask to hold the title.. That has no bearing on the story though...

Never dealer finance, they are making enough money off of you to begin with. Dealer finance and they pretty much laugh about the deal after you leave.

If it’s 0% than that’s a different story.

Disagree. If you don't know what you're doing, then I guess maybe don't dealer finance. But if you're buying used and you have good credit, DAMN sure give them a shot.
My wife worked at BB&T when I bought our Suburban used, and the dealer I got it from beat the hell out of any rate her boss at the branch (who was the main loan officer there) could give us....and the loan I got at the dealer was through...wait for it....BB&T.

And I'm sure the finance guy made some money on it....who cares? Is that not what they're in business to do? Bottom line is, he beat the hell out of BB&T's branch rate (even for an employee) with a BB&T loan. Always listen to what they can offer you. Many times they can beat most anybody.

This happened in my town, Smithfield.

This guy was definitely not "Speakin Deacon"
