There are 2 lines running to my positive post on my battery, the main cable, and the secondary cable that allows the truck to start, has accessories etc. At one point last year around April/May there is a connector that erodes and fails on the secondary cable. I can't start the truck, I turn the key nothing happens.

I get the truck running again and now my Clarion CD/MP3 player won't work (DB336MP). It stays powered on but will only show the time. None of the buttons work etc. Now a couple months ago the radio starts working again as if by magic. Today I get home I do some CB testing including testing a 2nd magnetic antenna and turn the truck back on and the Radio is back to not working, just displaying the time. Any idea on what the hell is going on?

Changethe fuse. I've seen them be broken and make contact and work then break the contact and not work. Should be on the red wire on the radio witch would be he swithed wire(turn on wire) that would explain wh you have the clock but not urn on.

I would just trace out the red wire which is usually the one that stays hot all the time and be sure all the connections are good. But im thinkin your problem is a bad connection on the acc. wire which is usually the yellow one.Trace both wires and i say you will find your problem.
