I've seen it done. I think it's something I'd reaaaaly like done to my half hard top. I'm terrible on cutting and placing fabric type materials so it's something I'd like to get done somewhere.

I've seen pictures so I know it can be done. I'm just wondering how hard is it to do? (can't be hard since they can remove the top and work at any angle)

And do I want carpet like material, or some sort of heat absorbing material with a headliner material proper?

Anyone done this to their hard top?

Any recommendations for shops?

Crazy and leave it alone?
Good idea?

The easiest thing to do is put a layer of insulation then the cloth of your choice over it. i am currently redoing my headliner in my montero. I made me insulation mats and installed them and then the cloth material over that. Ther is not really a carpet material thats is going to be a 1 piece solution. Doing a hard top of a jeep would be easy since it does come off.

But realistically it will not help that much unless you insulate the hard top and possible reinsulated the cab to get a good effect. good luck with it.
