Situational awareness for NCNC Soldiers in Durham, NC. This is the only city
in NC I have situational awareness for, at this time.
(U) SUBJECT: "Hacktivist" Group Issued a Call to Action for a "Nationwide
Day of Rage"
(U) DATE/TIME: 21 Aug 14
(U) LOCATION(S): CONUS
(U) SYNOPSIS: Demonstrations are being organized to protest the
well-publicized officer-involved shooting in Ferguson, MO, and the police
actions against the ongoing violent protests in Ferguson. These newly
organized demonstrations will likely demand prosecution of the police
officer involved in the shooting incident, which remains under
investigation.
These nationwide protests are not expected to become as violent as those
currently in Ferguson; however, security and law enforcement personnel
should remain vigilant. Additionally, any DOD assets near the legal
protests are encouraged to avoid them and to remain vigilant should violence
erupt.
Times and Locations of Expected Protests:

I haven't read into this much because I really just don't care that much, but what exactly is it that people are protesting "for" or trying to accomplish from protesting?
 
1st amendment goes both ways, like it or not. I'll at least give them credit for scheduling it after work instead of the middle of the day like usual.

POTENTIAL DEMONSTRATIONS IN BALTIMORE AND WASHINGTON, D.C. TOMORROW (AUG 21)

- Due to the situation in Ferguson, Missouri, peaceful demonstrations are
being called for in what is titled a "Day of Rage" tomorrow (Aug. 21) in 37
cities nationwide, including Baltimore and Washington, D.C. The proposed
Washington, D.C. location is Malcolm X Park at 7 p.m. The Baltimore location
and time is not yet known. Employees are advised to be aware of their
surroundings and to be safe.

I was downtown today getting a copy of my business license right by the court house. Other than construction, the ole Dirty D seemed quiet as quiet gets downtown......
