Well the 87 YJ is goin under the knife again. I am yanking out the old, tired, leaking, oil blowing 4.2 and transplanting a freshened 94 4.0 with 2000 fuel injection. This ought to put the pep back in her step:driver: any one ever done this swap know of any thing to be mindful of or know how all the wiring goes back in? and am thinking about an external fuel pump and regulator any one know of any part numbers for a pump that will do the job?

wtf is that dual outlet manifold?
You're gonna need an external electric fuel pump! The 87 was carbed with the on-engine mechanical fuel pump. I think the pump you want is AutoZone E2000 or something. I have one as a spare in my Jeep at home. The one I'm using is a Mopar pump that costs a lot more. I think Galen posted up the info on this pump, being a cheaper replacement.

You'll also need the FI filter.
No regulator should be needed.

Thanks Tony! yeah that is a 2000 TJ exhaust manifold and intake I am going to have the throttle body bored to 62mm to give her a little more juice!!! I do have a different tank with the intank fuel pump but dont want to have to pull the tank to replace a pump.:shaking:

Thanks for the info and link to that thread!
