I just bought a 99 xj that was over heating and was thought to have a cracked head. Replaced the lower radiator hose cause it blew apart. Changed the coolant temp sensor and jeep was running 212 all day but heater was blowing cold. I ended up doing a core flush and was amazed at the crap that came out. I blew it out with an air hose and then poured bleach in it and let it set for 30 min. I then spent another 40 minutes running the hose in it and blowing it out with air. The last 8 cycles of doing this, I switched up and blew in the inlet side and then went back to the outlet side till it blew clear both ways. Have great heat now. Here are some pics of what came out initially. uploadfromtaptalk1325471178525.jpguploadfromtaptalk1325471202405.jpg
This bottom pic is the sludge in the bottom of the cup.
