Hi, I just discovered this forum and thought I would sign up. Currently I have a stock Ford Explorer so I can't do much real off roading but I plan to get something more capable in the future. I just sold my old Toyota T100, I used to take it to Brown Mountain ORV.

Anyway just wanted to introduce myself.

read the stickies and dont feed the bears.

So are most of you guys in to fairly hard core off roading that exceeds the capacity of most stock vehicles? I am looking at trading my Explorer for a Tacoma 4x4 with the TRD package. It is supposed to be pretty capable in stock form with the rear locker and all.

They lie about the turd

Welcome new guy!

Ski probably moved it.
Just razzin the yota guys on here. I honestly have no clue about the turd package. I do like to call it the turd package though:flipoff2: kinda like the rubicant

I think the TRDs are nice.. I dont know how capable they are but they seem like they can hang.. Are those IFS? I would rather have an axle IMO. Rubicants... ha ha, those are pretty nasty as well for stock...

My 2002 Explorer is good for dirt roads and sand but that is about it......

And your rear axle.. Thats a 9" isnt it?
