Just stopped in to say hello! I am in NZ untill Dec.19 on a NOLS (national outdoor leadership school) course. I have been here since Oct.4 and today is the first day we've been in town since Oct.6. On Oct.6 we started out for our 29 day, 250K hike through the NZ back country where we went straight into our 20 day, 250K canoe section down the Clearance river. It's been a blast... a smelly blast, yesterday was the first day any of us (10 total plus instructors) has had a shower since we started the section. Have learned a lot about hiking and canoeing techniques (duh), LNT (leave no trace) and tread lightly camping, and about leadership and my self. It's been a good experience so far. We start the final leg of the course in two days; a 20 day section of Sea Kayaking the Marlboro sound then I finally come home. My new years goal for my return? finish my damn truck!! it's been long enough, and I have been thinking about it a lot since i have been here, especially since I finally got it on all 4's the week before I left. So hopefully I will be seen on the trail soon. Anyway, like I said just stopping in to say hello and happy holidays. Can't wait to return to NC, even if it is winter there and summer here :D

wait a damn minute...you are in NZ, hiking, canoing, kayaking, etc... and the title below your user name says "very bored"? WTF, man? :)

Right now, I'd just about kill for a single day at Uwharrie.

No Shit...I hate it for ya there in New Zealand...my Excitement for Thanksgiving weekend is watching Extreme 4x4 (hopefully if that works out) on the tube and changing Dirty Diapers.

But its ALL GOOD...thanks to the Inter-net & my Sponsors
Visa and UPS ...we gonna have a Good X-Mas in just a few short weeks.

Drink a few Fosters for us all while you explorer the Wilderness
