HELP - CJGUY - BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

I don't know what's going on with this guy but I bought and paid for a set of TJ Old Man Emu shocks on 10/29/08 via Paypal. He responded on 10/30 that he had received the payment and would be shipping them. I have yet to see the shocks or hear back from him.

I have sent him multiple PM's with no response. He has been on the board everyday, including twice today, once at 9:14am and once at 1:01pm. Still no response. I tried to send him another PM and now I get this message:

"cjguy has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her.
If you are trying to send this message to multiple recipients, remove cjguy from the recipient list and send the message again.":confused:

He seemed very legit since he has many posts and forsale items. Hopefully he will come through and there is a legit reason for the lack of communication, however it seems VERY Shady at this point.

Has one received items from him or know him?

He has been banned.
 
I would give it a few more days and if you still havent heard anything from him or received the shocks, I'd file a dispute with pay pal. That will put a hold on the money you sent him until the issue gets resolved. If he doesn't respond in a certain amount of time the dispute is settled in your favor and you get your money back.
 
If I'm not mistaken that CJGUY was Brendan that used to have Performance Innovations here in town. I bet if you asked around you could find someone to go knocking on his door.
 
Update:
I spoke with Brendan over the phone yesterday about the shocks. He still has them at the shop and stated he would ship them this morning. Hopefully he will follow through.
However if someone wants to stop by I'm not opposed to that.

I will pay you $25.00 plus the shipping charge via Paypal if you will go by and pick up these shocks and ship them too me....ASAP!! I need them for a trip next weekend. I'm in Charlotte, so if they ship by Tuesday/Wednesday I should have them in time.

Unfortunately based on everything that's been posted on here about this guy I seriously doubt that he even has the shocks at all...and if he does I'd venture a guess that they're not in the condition he says they're in... I would file a claim w/ paypal immediately (hopefully you've already done it b/c it usually takes 3 weeks or so to get your money back).

Unless I'm wrong he's had multiple user names and been banned everytime...
