HELP!!! dd WONT START

86 toyota pickup 22r weber, it has fire to all the plugs, when i hit it with starting fluid it wont hit. I pulled the plugs they are dry....what should i check???

If you have fire to the plugs and sprayed starting fluid in it and still would not start I would say timing chain jumped. If the plugs are dry though, sounds like its not getting gas. Sounds like a fuel pump.

im gonna check the timing chain cause i keep spraying starting fluid and it wouldnt hit, cause if it jumped timing the gas could be going out hte exhaust. thanks

if it broke the timing chain would i be better off rebuilding the whole engine?

Has the engine been built before? Pull the valve cover and turn the engine over by hand. You`ll see real quick if it`s the chain.

Pretty rare to flat out break the timing chain, and damn you'd know it at the time 'cause it's be bang crunch pow city no more valves.
What happened before you turned it off?

no not built before, i said broke the timing chain, im thinking, it jumped timing, cause it turns over normal. the motor has right at 200xxx on it so kinda want to rebuild it anyways, any options? ideas? got be quick about what i do though
