Hey guys, I just picked up an 06 Dodge 3500, 5.9 6 speed and on the way home from the dealership all the warning lights came on 1 at a time and the gauges started bouncing. Never in a specific order and never all at once. Eventually all the warning lights came on and stayed on and the gauges just quit. Now everytime I start the truck the gauges will be fine for about a mile, then they start flickering and goin out again. I'm at a complete loss, any direction you can offer would be great, and any help you guys can offer would be greatly appretiated.
Thanks,
Jon

Dealers an hour away and I have no speedometer, tach, temp, oil pressure, voltage or fuel gauge. If it's somethin simple I have no problem taking care of it, just need a push in the right direction

Ouch that sucks. I'm no help, sorry. But I hope someone chimes in and gets ya fixed!

Sent from my microwave using a teleportation device.

Did you buy it As-Is?

Try going through an instrument cluster test. I'll see if I can track down the failure message chart. Here's a link that tells you how to perform the test. It's more or less holding down the odometer reset and then turning the key to on and releasing when it starts working.

By the way, if you still have your manual, I think this and the message failure chart is in there.

Thanks guys, I found it. Someone at the dealership decided it would be a great idea to power wash the engine bay with the fuse box cracked open a bit. I found a bunch of corrosion on the iod and abs fuses, I got all of them cleaned up and it's all workin again. Thanks,
Jon

See, that right there is why I've only washed my 06 mega DRW once in the last year :D

welcome to the dodge world. Just wait your wipers will start acting weird, door locks quit working, HVAC doors break, tail light quit working, you probably need to work on you drive shaft now, calipers lock up, start saving up now for new everything in the frontend if it's 4x4. On the up side you've got a killer engine.

Cumminsforum.com will be your friend or enemy depending on how paranoid you are:confused:

^^^ so true! Yesterday I pulled my dash apart to trace down an electrical issue with my OBD2 port and had to clear DTCs just to get my door locks working again.....
