Got the Jeep started for the first time since May and need some help diagnosing a few trans issues I'm having with my new-to-me AX15.
The AX15 itself is a '95.
The swap was done with a new flywheel and starter from a '91 to match my donor fuel injection setup, and clutch assembly is a '95 to match the trans.
It is mated to my existing 4.2 and D300.
First issue I'm having is the starter isn't disengaging immediately after the vehicle starts. It stays engaged for a second or two after the engine has started.
Second is I'm hearing a knock while it idles. I haven't put too much of a load on it yet to test if the knock increases with load and/or speed. I've only taken the Jeep on a short jaunt around my little circle street.
Third is I'm getting a little bit of noise from the release bearing. I'm not sure if it's just because everything is new, or what. It's not a lot of noise. But still
