This winch came on a late 70s CJ that I bought. I'm trying to gather more info on it to help decide if it's worth putting money into. Here are a few pictures I took. Much of the print has worn off the stickers, so there's not a ton to go on:

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Found on a search....... It is part # 14237. That is the Northern Tool part #. I went by my local store yesterday and they had just sold the last one but said there were stores that still had them.
Ramsey made (Same as ReP 8000, rated 4000 for northern)
Roller fairlead and full accessory pack w/remote.
$299
Not sure of how legit the info is, but may be a start

Looks exactly like my REP 8000

Even if it's something made under a different name, the wiring etc would still be the same

Cool. Thanks. What is yours rated? You think it's worth putting money into? From what I'm seeing, I should able to replace the solenoid box and remote for just under $200.

Actually looking at parts, I can probably put the solenoid pack together for a good bit cheaper than that. Thanks all!

ya the soilenoids and everything really aren't that much. REP8000 = 8000 lb rating. Of course that's the ideal, max # of wraps etc. But been fine for my yota.

Excellent. Thanks, guys. I think I've got what I need. Time to tear it apart and see how it looks on the inside, but based on what I'm seeing, it's worth working on.
