sounds an awful lot like a yj currently in the for sale section.

I'm curious how many of the "I want to buy it back" scenarios actually happen.

On that note, mom had a '64 Chevy Malibu wagon she got new and sold around 2007, admitting it has been sitting too long and just needed a new home. I would soooo love to buy that back but can't find it.

My dad bought a '72 rally sport nova brand new and had to sell it due to my untimely arrival, would love to have that one, but pops can't find a VIN.

I'm currently on the hunt for my dads 69 Ford F-250 camper special haven't seen it in 25 years tho! On a good note the I want it back scenario does occasionally work out I hunted down and found the very first sbc 350 I worked on when I was 13 was still running with same Pistons in a k5 it had been transplanted into in 99! Good luck

I have really bad vehicle ADD but the only thing I would ever want back would be my 97 M3. I had that car pretty well dialed save for a little bit of tuning to clean up the bottom end and some suspension bushings. That car wasnt super fast, but it could carry speed through the corners at CMP really well. If I did it over, I would have just dropped an LS2 in it when the S52 let go.

Yeah.... I wish I still had my 84 FS Bronco with the 300 straight six..... traded it for my first Jeep. Worst mistake ever. Not only do I miss the Bronco but it started this whole Jeep infection that I can't get rid of. It's like herpes....

.... not that I know what herpes is like or anything....

My dad had a 1966 GMC short bed step side, he tried to sell it a few years ago, I wouldn't let him, and I just got it running last week! I couldn't imagine him selling it and me trying to track it down later.

Hope you guys are successful in your hunts.

Last time I saw that Yota it had rolled down my neighbors driveway and into the trees across the road.

lol, not sure if you are kidding or not. i did sell it to a guy in the trinity/thomasville area. and his driveway was on a hill.

I'm not kidding at all. I watched it roll down the hill. He lives about two doors down from me on the opposite side of the road. His name was Rob Coones. He's moved away now, but he flipped cars.

yep! thats him! man, i rushed into that deal without thinking i through. ive owned a lot of cars. never regretted selling any of them, save for that one.

you know... i didnt keep it because i didnt want to beat it up off road. it was in too good if shape. hearing it rolls down a hill into the woods moments after i sold it is a little dis heartening.

I was able to buy back a past Jeep. I bought a 2006 LJ Rubicon new and sold it 2 years later and regretted it. About 4 years ago I was cleaning out a file cabinet and found the info of the guy I sold it to down around Clemson. Called him up and not only did he still have it, he regretted buying it. He never got to drive it with having 4 kids. He only averaged 2k miles on it a year when he owned it. I made him an offer and drove down the next morning and picked it back up. Looked exactly the same as when I sold it.

I ended up having way more vehicles than I could drive (still have that issue) and put it up for sale last year with what I felt was a high price just for shits and giggles. Of everything I owned it made the least sense to keep at the time. Plus, with the low miles (9 years old with 32k miles) I figured there was a chance I could get that stupid high price for it. Guy from Nevada snagged it up quickly and I shipped it to him.

I don't plan to buy it a 3rd time. Unless there is some sentimental attachment to something my advice is to sit back and truly think if you want a vehicle back. There was a reason you sold it in the first place.

If I could get my 69 mustang back Id spend a pretty penny.
But I wouldnt spend what it would cost.

If only I had that orange 78 pinto back. How could I let it go?
