2000 Sierra mods
I picked up a 2000 GMC Sierra K-1500 4x4 base model this past summer. Kinf of shocked that after buying all these old 4x4's in the past. These new 4x4 trucks are so bare.
I use it mostly for offroad sand and swamp. Through some significant water. And highway 75%. The Sierra has an rear open differential in 2wd. GM 10 Bolt 8.6" ...
I'm going to try an Eastcoast installed Eaton limited slip diff for sand. The Detroit locker too much I think. Since it's sand. I dunno.
The small amount of lift I need is giving me a headache to think about. All I see is sand getting in there if I just raise it up a few inchs. And making the wear.... into faster wear.
