i have little welding experience so make it simple.

Try one like this. No welding required...

i mean i can weld, just no serius bending and welding, like brackets, i can weld them. i already have a peice of tube like 4" round. just need info on how to cap off the ends of the tube, and mount the brackets, and stuff like tow points.

Will check that out Chris..

Does it have to be made of round tube?
It's actually quite easier if you use square or L angle pieces.
FYI, typically for end caps you have 2 options. Easy way - find some plastic caps and pop them in. Better way - you get a round/square piece and weld it on, then grind the welds down flush.

To me, the 4" round tube is too seventies. Bleah! About every CJ had the 4" tubes. Next we'll be seeing chrome "sport bars" in stepsides with KC's. And CHiPS will be back on the idiot box.

Skip the big tube, do a nice tube bumper out of 1.5, or use rect. tube like 2x3 or 2x4.

I've built several out of 2x4 and 2x3 rectangle tubing. Angle cut the ends and add some simple tabs and you got yourself as plain a bumper as it gets. Play around with different angle cuts 18 to 24 inches from each end and you can add a more curved look that will follow vehicle contours. Square small shapes usually ends up looking small and "stick built." Warn makes some bumpers that are straight forward and can give you some good ideas. The only picks I have currently of personal builds are probably more complex than what your after, but here you go anyway!

2x2 + 2x2 = 2x4. And 2x2 tends to be cheap and easy to find.
Cut small 1/2" sections of it, and use it to seperate 2 "rungs" of 2x2 (maybe 3,4 of them) into a sort of ladder. Now you have a "piece" that is 2x4.5", looks cool, and flat on the backside so welding tabs/brackets is easy.
To me, round tubing is harder b/c unless you have a notcher, it's a pain to join pieces together.
IMO, 4" round tubing just looks :gay:

will try that when i get started on it thanks.

Made this in about 2 hours, cost $10, 1 5' piece of angle iron .250.
Minimal welding.
