Unfortunately I can't post pics yet but I can email them to you!

I am trying to find a match for a CJ hard door latch mechanism. I'm not entirely sure of what year it is from but here's a brief description:

Square housing. "Handle" goes directly into housing on the lower front side (facing front of Jeep). Push button on face of unit (pointing towards seat) to lock. "Catch" is on top rear facing rear of Jeep. Connects to door with four bolts. This is not a paddle stye. Outside handle is rotating handle type.

Wow, that was a pathetic description but was hoping someone could lend a hand. I need one for the passenger side if anyone has one laying around.

Kirk,
Do your outside door latches look like these?

I dont have any, but you are looking for early (God I suck with CJ years, someone will skewer me here for being one off) 77-80 style doors.

This is the inside handle you need?

Boys, I've answered my own question. That type of latch was made by A.L. Hansen Manufacturing Company. Still in business and they make that type of "cab lock" but there isn't an interior lock on it. http://www.alhansen.com/prd_cab.html

They still make the strikers. They also manufacture a ton of other stuff including footman loops.

Happend to find a passenger side door on craigslist up near Hickory and picked it up today. Got everything I need for two "old school" doors now!
