My leaf springs on my 98 f150 are getting a little weak I think cause it sits a little lower in the back end now. And when I put my new 4wheeler on the back ( which weighs around 700lbs.) it really sags then. I want to fix this problem but I dont know what to get, helper springs or add a leafs. Which will best suit my needs? Thanks

helper springs are not going to help you regain the lost ride height it will only increase your spring rate. add-a-leafs on the other hand will help to restore your ride height and increase your spring rate.

or you can do airbags and have hem when you need them, and not have the harsh ride when you don't.
Costs a little more $$ though.

Try hellwig. I had a set of "helper" springs that were also lift springs. And adjustable at that. Bolted on top of the spring pack so were not as aggravating as add a leaves. If youve never done a-a-l's they are a pain in the butt. Full suspensions go together quicker. Anyway these were basically the same price as a-a-l's , gave adjustable lift , and were easy to install. On my 82 gmc i got about 2.5"s of lift. these have a square u bolt at each end. Snug= no lift (use as an overload) completely tight= full lift I ordered from summit if i remember correctly. hope this helps
