Helping a family in need

Are they a statesville fam? I have baby clothes that are in good condition that I surely could part with. I can get stuff to David.

They were in Statesville when they were living in the pop up camper but now they are living with his cousin in Troutman. Getting stuff to David would be great. Thanks.

Yeah CJ, you can drop stuff with me and I'll get it to Justin. Same goes for anyone in Statesville.

And I go to Hickory two days a week, so if anyone over there wants to contribute to the cause just drop me a line.

Just want to say thank you for all who have contacted me and made donations. Going to be delivering everything on christmas eve so still got plenty of time if anyone else wants to help out.

Figured i'd bump this up from page 5 incase anyone hasn't seen it yet. All the help we can get is much appreciated.

Thanks to everyone who has donated items/food/money to this family. we will be leaving the belmont/charlotte area around 2:30 tomorow afternoon to deliver everything. I'm going to work up a list tonight of all the items and food that has been donated. This has turned out better than I had expected. Lots of good stuff to bring them.

If anyone else wants to join us on the delivery just give me a shout.

Got everything cleaned up and washed/sorted tonight, looks like a complete set of pots and pans, silverware, and cooking utensils.

What a great time today. Dave, Mike and I brought all the stuff to them today. The whole bed of my truck was full and Mike and Dave had lots of stuff in thier trucks too. They were so happy with everyones generosity.

also, John told me some great news on his job situation. They are talking about putting him on full time at the NGK plant that he has been temp working at.

They also gave me a big bag of clothes that they had and couldn't use so I'll be going through all of it and looking for other people that can use it.

Thanks again for everyones help with this. I'd say it was a huge success. total cash/gift cards totaled $293.00 That, along with all the food, computer, desk, chair, kitchen utensils and clothes, this will be a christmas they will never forget.

Thanks again Justin for putting this all together. And thanks to everyone who donated stuff and/or money. This family was extremely grateful for everything we gave them.

Half of the stuff I gave them came from CJ (csudman) and his wife. They threw in a bunch of baby clothes and womens clothes. Im sure they were a big help! And my parents threw in another $25 walmart gift card along with the computer... so our grand total collected was over $300.

I wish you all could have been there for the delivery. I was particularly moved when I saw Crystal going through the second-hand kitchen stuff. She was going on and on about how beautiful the plates were, and how glad she was to finally have some nice dishes. That really put things back into perspective for me. It reminded me how blessed I am, and how little I appreciate the things I have.

Here's a picture from this afternoon
