Hickory area "Brunch" recomendation

Hey guys. Need some advise from those in the Hickory area.

I am going to save eveyrone a boring ass 1,200 word story...
But my wife has a chance to meet up with a childhood friend she hasnt seen in 20+ years in the AM.

We will have 2-3 hours tops and starting around 10A with a hard end at 1pm.

The girls had the idea to meet for "Brunch in Hickory" (could possibly be moved north up 321 as far as 30 minutes and still be viable time wise.

Any recomendations that way?
 
Hams is a decent place that is right off of 321 and 40. I think most of the cool little places are going to be closed or open later on Sunday's. Atlanta bread is a good social choice too.
 
Josh's in olde downtown hickory next to the taproom. Their brunch is great, and their shrimp and grits they do on Sunday is the best around. Of course if she wants to come to Morganton, Wisteria downtown is the place. Tell her that I'll buy her bloody mary's and breakfunch if she makes it here.

Just got back in.
Tried Braxton's suggestion of Josh's...but didnt read the downtown part. They apparently used to have a place on 321 but is now closed. When we got there and they were out of business the girls then googled "hickory nc brunch"...and we ended up at O'Charleys...nothing exciting but adequate.

Then fate smiled, some plans got cancelled and they ended up with a few extra hours.

So with a 4 kids between 8-13 and bounds of energy we went bowling for a couple hours and had a blast.

Come back tomorrow night, free lanes and free shoe rentals Monday nights. Buy a few pitchers of beer and let the kids drive home! Sorry to hear you got sent to the wrong spot, but if you had kids then would have probably been too expensive anyway.
 
I gotta get up to the Tap Room. My uncle is in there all the time and I know one of the girls that works there, she's a trip!
