i just recently ordered some 30000 k green hid lights for my 99 jeep cherokee. when i hooked them up they will turn on fine but after a while something in my dash is making funny noises and then my lights will flicker then go off. also when i have my ignition on in my vehicle i can turn my lights on and off fine but when i turn my ignition off with my lights off the lights will come back on and then they start to flicker and something in my dash makes the funny noises again until i turn my ignition and my lights go off. i don't know what the problem is and have messed with them a lot but it does the same thing every time. oh and also we tried them in my friends toyota pickup with the same kinda bulb and they work fine. does anyone know what could be the problem??

Is it kind of a buzzing noise? That would probably be the headlight relay cutting on and off. You might try a new one, but it's possible you may need a heavy duty one. (which is interesting because I thought HID lights were supposed to use LESS power once turned on.)

I have read, and I have seen several folks who put these lights in. As a matter of fact, Josh had done this with his Nissan. It melted his wiring harness going to his lights. Easy enough fix, but you really need to upgrade. You need to pull the power for the lights straight from the battery instead of through the wiring harness
