I have a 2000 tj w/ 4.0 w/ a manual trans. the motor usually idles around 700 to 1000 rpm. I don't have any dummy lights burning..
I use the AC and it has been idleing up to around 1500 rpm.(I figure it's to pull more air accross the radiator & ac coil) I feather the gas and the rpm goes back to what I know is normal.
as of latley it is idleing up to around 2500 rpm. it falls back down if I feather the gas, but it sucks when you are trying to down shift & break and the motor is pushing against you. or when the jeep keeps the same speed or speeds up when your are trying to slow your speed down by letting off the gas.
has anybody had this problem before? does any body know what might be wrong.
thanks in advance
