I've seen many different ways to mount a high lift jack over the years. The problem with most of them is that it takes too long to get the jack out of the mount. I am going to mount mine flat to the bed area of the jeep. I can fab the needed brackets, but I was just wondering if anyone had a cool ideal of how to make it secure and easily removable.

Ever heard of Quick Fist clamps? Here's a link to their website, and a link to some mounting ideas.. One of the photos shows a highlift being mounted, I dont really like the way they have the highlift mount shown though but I'm sure it'd work or possibly one of the other styles could work? Just an idea I've considered.

instead of reinventing the wheel, I just picked up the 4XRAC at Northern for like $30, mounted it in the floor of my XJ cargo area. 2 wingnuts and its out. One of the studs has a hole for a lock if you want.

You could weld two bolts to your rig and then use wing nuts on the bolts.

The way I've always done it is with a short piece of .5" steel rod mounted to a rollbar leg that goes through a hole on the base pad of the jack, then a 1/2" bolt welded to another that goes through one of the i beam holes. Then weld a nut to a washer and two 3" wings onto that for a giant quick easy to find wingnut. Never had any problems with any of the mounts I've had like that.

I took 1.5" flat steel and cut it to 6". Then bent it at 2" 90*. Near the far end of the 4" leg I drilled a 1/2" hole. Then I put a 1/2" bolt through and lock washer and nut to holt it in place. The lock washer was mostly for spacing. Two of those hold it pretty good. I then ordered some 1/2 x13 threaded knobs for easy removal.
