High Point/Greensboro Scanner Frequencies

There are over 40 frequencies you'll need. www.radioreference.com and register, then go to the database. To monitor anything, you'll need a scanner capable of receiving 800 mHz narrowband Motorola digital trunking, currently 3600 baud simulcast, 8 multiplexed data/voice talkgroups per frequency in packet mode. All the Uniden/Radio Shack/Bearcat yadda yadda digital capable scanners can do it.

The only things still on conventional FM freqs are Forsyth County Fire dispatch (simulcast of the 800 system is done on the old 154.205 mHz conventional freq), and Guilford County Fire (simulcasting dispatch on both the old 46.500 low band conventional freq and on the 453.750 UHF conventional freq).

NCSHP is still using the 42 mHz low band and will be until the 800 mHz trunked VIPER system is 100% operational statewide, which is actually a good ways off, though the SHP units in the areas with the VIPER sites on line are all using 800 mHz trunking portables when out of the car.
