high steer arm tie rod size question

I git a dana 60 with a high steer setup, question is the tie rod end will only get so far into the hole, so I know I need to get a tapered reamer to make it bigger, how do I know what size to get? work was done by previous owner, so I have no idea, what brand if any high steer arm it is, also this jeep is pretty much trail only, can I just drill it out slightly so the tie rod end will fit, or is that dangerous, thanks

you need the taper for the TRE. I think its 8*, maybe. Can't remember exactly. Someone here will know. Its been too long since I tapered any and can't remember..

Should be a 7 degree tapered reamer for GM TREs

You can't drill it out... the tapered TRE will just wallow out a straight hole.
If you can't find someone closer, send it to me and I can do it.
