I FUC#KING hate people that dont secure their load. Truck infront of me ran over some thick plexiglass in the road on I40 causing it to shoot straight through the front bumper, oil cooler, condenser, and fan on my M3. Easily 2K worth of damage. I want to fuc#ing kill someone. Rant over

call eurowise in charlotte my buddie mike runs the place he can probley hook u up on some parts. he deals with high-end euro cars and he own's a m3 so he probley has stuff layin around u can use... tell him clayton told you to call!!!

Damn, Brad. Sorry to hear that. I'm with you, though. I'll never forget the rush hour on 52 north when the right lane came to a screeching halt for the loveseat in the middle of the road. Next exit, I saw the 1 ton dump with a bed full of furniture. The matching couch was on it, and it was above the bed walls. I can only imagine how they had the loveseat stacked on there, not a strap in sight.

I know what you are talking about. About 2 months ago, a piece of sheetrock got sucked up off the road by a truck in front of me in the ZJ, took out a foglight, scratched the grill, and dented and gouged the hood down to the steel, before hitting the windshield and scaring the crap outta me. Fortunately it was not a big ordeal, but had I been driving a nice car (M3 for example), or worse, riding a motorcycle...

That sucks man. I saw the IMAP people picking up a recliner on the side of I85 this morning.

I had to dodge a 55 gal trash can at 75 mph last week :shaking:

Thanks I'll give him a shout

x2 on Mike and the guys at Eurowise. Or Dan at Touring Car Inc in Matthews. Sucks that happened man. I had the same situation when I had my M3. Took out the Velocity splitters on the front valance and the lower plastic grille.

Between exits 119 and 123 on I-40 there has been a bunch of furniture, There is a couch that has been hit on west bound side, without my glasses I could have swore it was a cow!

Late last year Leslie had to have a new car because a truck stopped dead in front of her in HWY 74, He stopped because of a bunch of pallets had been dropped in the road. She couldn't get stopped, Honda was crumpled.

I am glad it was an 18 wheeler. I ran over it with my dodge and it went staight up in the air. I was hoping it wasn't me.

Thats funny!, I wnader how long it was in the road, I dont blame the guy in front of me, not his fault. Whoever left it in the road on the other hand should have the shit kicked out of them. What time did you hit it?

Seems like that stretch of 40 is always a problem for furniture, construction crap. One time I saw a dump truck lose half a load of pea gravel right there because his back gate was not shut all the way. Honda behind him was totaled

We have problems in Raleigh with ladders on the beltway.. Seems like a daily problem during the summer...

Yep - One of the radio stations used to a do a daily update on the afternoon traffic report about the location of the newest 'ladder of the day.'

3:30 - 4:00pm. First thing that crossed my mind when I ran over it was damn that would be a good windshield for the buggy.

Yeah I came through there about 3:45, wish I could find out who dropped it!. It would make a good windshield, when I pulled over I pulled a 2'x1' section of it out of my oil cooler. It was pretty thick.

if traffic isnt too bad, sometimes i stop to pick stuff up. not really because im that great of a person, but because there is some cool stuff that falls off peoples vehicles

I was riding on 40 near cary a while back on my motorcycle. A car hit something in the road and knocked it up into my foot. I was sure that it broke my foot even with steel toe boots on. I hade to pull over for a good 10 mins to get the throbbing to stop and to calm my nerves.

Honda vs Dodge truck....I was just glad an 18 wheeler (or anything else) didn't hit me from behind.

The only wreck I have had since getting my license...22 yrs....

I've got a 12" adjustable wrench, a 3 lb sledge, and a 2 wheeled hand truck by picking stuff up off the road. The adjustable wrench was in the road right in front of my house. I saw 2 or 4 cars drive over it before the road cleared so I could grab it. I was behind a box truck at a 4 way stop sign and when he pulled away the roll up door opened and the 2 wheeled hand truck rolled from the front of the box right out the back and into the road. He just drove off so I grabbed it and threw it in the back of my truck.

Father in law ran over a metal strap they bind pallets or metal with. It has a 5/16s bolt on both ends of it and it was around 3 feet long, Well the bolt went through the tire bolt head first, Doing 70 on 40 it torn the living crap out of the volvos front fender the strap was being slung around by the rotation of the tire, the tire had to be dismounted to cut the bolt out. Along with a new front fender and paint.
