so I wake up at 3 am to the sound of someone dogging the crap out of a diesel truck and look out the window apparently someone wrecked there very nice excursion into my ditch and was trying to get out...so I call the cops and dad walks out there and there is another bystander who was stopping to see if he is alright dude is fine but is wigging out he hit my neighbors driveway after he ran off the road for a 1/4 mile and then ended up 40' from hitting my house (the closest its ever been to hitting my house) and while hes backing up trying to run away he backs into my ditch getting stuck puts it in 4x4 trying to go backwards or forward which for him isn't working out cause he cracked his front right rim in half, so he gets something out of the back and takes off running, most likely a pistol or handgun of some sort.

sad part is its a powerstroke excursion limited with a 6 inch lift and 35x1250 20s and fab four bumpers...really nice truck thats probably totaled

Ill post pics as soon as I charge my cameras battery

most of you don't know but the worst part is that 3 years ago to the day there was a bad car wreck in which a kid that went to my highschool died from a car accident in my yard (alcohol was involved again)

Was it stolen?? What happened to the dude drivin it ?? Did they find anything in it?? Ya know, the rest of the story.

well it just happened at 3 am this morning and apparently only 2 state troopers were on duty in wake co. so he didn't want to chase after the guy....I don't think it was stolen cause he had the keys I just think he was really drunk...he lives right down the road from me....

I think its kinda crappy they should've called for the sheriffs dept. for some backup and gone after the guy hopefully justice will be served.

So you know where he lives? Have you knocked on his door?

no we got his insurance info so were just gonna do that deal...although my dad wishes he would have parked our 83 mercury capri out forsale that night haha

I have too many cars, but that's a nice year. Does it have the bubble glass in the back?
bubble glass ( we go a spare rear glass also )

dude stopped by with his daddy (who also has a limited excursion) said he swereved to miss a deer (Im thinking swereved to miss a unicorn ie: mytical creature that wasnt there) and was so "frustrated" that he just went home and waited for morning to come

:poop:

We'll see how the Deer story sits with the cops.

Lets see:

Driver - "I dodged a deer and ended up here, I was so shook up I needed to go home and come back in the morning" :shaking:

Or

Driver - "I was on my way home barely keeping it between the ditches, I passed out for a second (shouldn't have had the last ) came to plowing though my neighbors yard, I was freaking man I can't get a DUI so I went home and sobered up.

Sad part is they most likely won't charge him.

A couple buddys and I were on our way home (when I was 15 teen) I was driving cause my buddy was hammered. I wasn't aware of the bald tires and it was raining. I lost it into a neighbors one acre garden at about 3 am. It was way to stuck to get it out. So we left it till morning came back at 7 am and the cops were there. Explained what happened (With my buddy driving) and they just said to at least call it in next time.

at least he will fix our yard...his daddy is making sure of that....hes the one who has gotta live with fawking up that truck like that

I had a friend that borrowed my F250 years ago and wrecked it, totaling it. He was VERY drunk. He took off before cops showed up and the next morning they came knocking on my door. Thank God I was out of town working whenit happened or my ass would have been in jail. After it was all said and done, my friend was only charged with leaving the scene of an accident, careless and wreckless, and damage to personal property or something like that. Everyone knows he was toasted, but they just can't prove it.

Although bad, the driver in your case prob. did the right thing if he was drunk. Leaving the scene of an accident is much better than a DUI. Careless and wreckless is also much better than a DUI...
