Well, I was involved in a hit and run this morning. Turning left onto hilsborough street off Blue ridge on my way to campus, I was in the the right left turn lane, and he was in the one of the left, and he decided to just merge over into me in the middle of the interstion. I was in my dad's 05 cavalier, so I guess he didn't see me. We both pulled off, me just onto the edge of the road, him that gravel road along hilsborough street and the train tracks, with his license plate facing away from me. I immediately called my father and got out and so did he and when he saw me calling, he said "Woah, before we get the feds involved..." I said, I'm just calling my dad and he said ok. We stood there for a second and he said "I'm going to get my registration while I talked to my dad. He jumped in the seat of his truck, turned it on, and floored it in reverse all the way down that gravel road so I couldn't catch his tag number. He ended up making far enough before he turned around so I didn't get the tag. Cops came and pretty much said, they can take a report, but there isn't really a way to catch the guy.
I stopped at the Capital city lumber yard place just the other side of the tracks later today to see if they had any cameras that could see over there, and he checked but they didn't. And any suggestions on body shops in raleigh?
Key points -
Call 911 immediately
Get tag number immediately.
Oh and it was at like exactly 9:45 this morning, if any one by any chance was driving through there, noticed us, and took down a tag number, hahah.
