Hole in tire sidewall

I picked up a set of 37 mtr military take offs a while back for my 4runner. I'm fixing it up to be my daily beater. After ordering the wheels and mounting then I noticed they leaked down over 5-6 weeks sitting in the driveway. Well 3 of the 4 tires have a small puncture hole in the sidewall.

Do I just have to suck it up and buy new tires?

You could always add tubes. If it's not a big hole, like something plugged, but a small crack or dryrot etc it would be fine.
Downside is you can't balance anymore w/ the usual internal crap like adding water, beads etc.

That's a Slow leak, form a Tiny hole! I'd find the hole & patch it from the inside [some call it vulcanize]. Don't plug it! That's asking for more Failure.
Really not suppose to repair a sidewall, but a leak that small wouldn't worry me.

Buddy of mine works at a tire shop and said he would patch them for me. I'm was just a bit worried about trusting the patches in the sidewall.

I had thought about tubes but read that tubes are a no no in radial tires.

For a daily driver/beater I would find some new/er tires.

they make tubes for radial tires...no worries

For the street, I would find another tire.

For the woods, I would get that vulcanized by a tire shop and roll with it.

If it were me and it's a daily-driving tire I'd buy a new one.

I actually have a 33 on my bronco as a spare that has a punctured sidewall that I need patched/tubed so that I have a spare. I'd off-road on it first too if it was tubbed.

Would be a better choice and less worry.
