Thought I'd show how a buddy and me built a divorced yota dual case setup for his 02 ranger he converted to 4 wd recently. Really is pretty pimp and should beat that d20 case he had in there by a long shot. All and all he has around 50 bucks in machine shop work and the rest we did, mainly him credit where credit is due, I just helped out with assembly and layout of the machining, it's his brainstorm. We used an old downy adapter t350 plate I had from a dual case setup I built for a friend, he didn't know what it was and I'm a pack rat, I figured it would come in handy. Saved him a $325 adapter anyways.

Nifty idea. What's the other side look like?

the other side is just a A/A crawler plate. He didn't want to incorparate a bearing into it to save time and cash. I've got another plate and he plans on adding a bearing with a bolt on cap to retain it sealed with a 9 inch seal. Right now it is sealed with the factory style seal that came in the old downey adapter. It really can't move much, the intermeditate shaft is actually the factory slip yoke with a 1350 joint oddly enough off the 2wd tranny. I'll try to get a photo of it tomorrow installed, I helped him get it in tonight with the bolt on flange crossmember setup, kinda like the one front range offroad sells for the yota cases, home made of course.
