been thinking about the living room set up in the new place and ive decided that the huge wall needs to have a screen put up on it.

what is the easiest and cheapest way to set up a projection system? i dont care about HD, i dont care about latest technology. this will be used for standard cable tv for 80% of the time and dvds the rest of the time. although, being able to run the computer through it would be sweet also....for movies, not tryin to use the projector for my everyday desktop apps.

as for the screen, i was just thinking about getting a white sheet, or possibly painting the wall. ambient light is a bit of a concern, though i would rather adapt the room than spend more on the projector

so....where to find a projector for cheap? what will work, what wont work, etc?

thanks yo

you might could check government liquidations and auctions for a used projector, or maybe on an online auction sight such as ebay or ubid....

you could hang a screen for it, or theres a certain type of paint that will help with the visibility of the picture, and lessen the glare and reflection of ambient light

youll still haveta have some sort or cable box or reciever... as long as the projector has atleast analog inputs, but id look for atleast S-video to try and help picture quality as much as possible
