so i found a deal a homebuilt 16' trailer. it was built in sc and there isnt a tittle needed there. how can i get a tittle? i was told i could have it inspected by hwy patrol?? anyone went through this?

I did. I had to go by the DMV, they gave me a form with a number that I had to stamp on the frame then take it to the highway patrol to get t inspected then back to DMV for title. Other than multiple trips it was easy.

x2 on fairly easy to do. esp if you know some highway patrolmen that would drop by the house and inspect it, this is how I got mine expected several years back.

I think u have to stamp the axle too. I've heard of people stamping numbers from a trailer title they already own.

I got the proper paperwork and just pulled the trailer until pulled over. When he asked for my registration, I smiled and gave my id, reg. and application. He was a bit disappointed, but was very nice and helped me out.
