Homemade Deck Cover

Anyone ever made there own deck cover? I thought I had seen someone do this in the past. Looked like a piece of plywood covered in fabric and fastened down with bolts over the back seat.
 
these are crappy pics. but i used treated 3/4 plywood with 1/2 tubing around the top. it bolts in the factory hard top location. i covered it with boat carpet from lowes. it was easily strong enough to stand on

Holy sh*t, that thing is bad!

I had done the exact same thing for my old Ranger pickup as a cheap "tonneau cover". Instead of boat canvas material I used some stuff from a material fabric store called "noga-hide" (I know I spelt that wrong...worked out great, and with a few L-brackets it was strong enough to stand on as well. I also made it hinge about 2 ft from the tailgate so I could put longer stuff in and have easier access...sorry no pics though.
