So much for clearing all the driveway

One hose blown at control valve, another blown inside hose sleeve to loader tubing.

17yrs old. I shouldn't be surprised

I know a guy that can probably make some hydraulic hoses for you. Probably take less time to make them than you spent taking the picture and posting it on the internet.

if i had 1/4" pipe to -4 or -6, they would have already been made.

there are 12 hoses total, these are the worst ( appearing ) and the only ones I don't have fittings for, the others I'll make as they blow. but yeah, these 4 will be replaced this weekend soon as I get the fittings ( 1/4" NPT/-4 ) that thread into the quick connects. I usually have -4 and -6 JIC fittings and hose on my service van, and cheaper (cost from bulk supplier) than buying from Cross or Alliance.

Kinda off subject..... but are the colored zip ties there to remind you where each hose goes?

^^ I was thinking that myself.

not a bad idea if that's what it is....

Yes it is, though I cannot take credit for the idea, I just redid what had been done previous. Most new machines have pretty colored caps and plugs leashed to the hoses and connectors to identify locations.

I redid those ties a few months ago after the previous were broken off, and I did actually connect the hoses wrong. it got exciting quick.

hahaha yep... done that before thanks! I don't think Ive ever owned anything new enough to have the plug caps

The supplies 4 1/4"NPTx-4, 4 -4x-6 JIC fittings, approx 8ft -4 hose ( what was used, not what you see in pic )

I'll spare you the install, messy and boring, though there is something strangely satisfying about making and installing your own hydraulic hoses. More so than doing it on someone else's junk.

For what it's worth, I prefer PARKER hose and fittings, mostly because they are more compact AFTER they are crimped compared to other brands ( WEATHERHEAD is HUGE in size comparison ) packaging in tight quarters can make or break a clean install/repair.

As for cost, ~$36 for fittings @ Parker store, hose was drops from roll ends that I've collected over the last few months, NEVER throw away short pieces, they come in handy sometimes :huggy:
