Hi everyone, I am Greg Manuel, ive been going to Uwharrie all my life, with my father riding Atv's and i just purchased a new RZR and i am enjoying the crap out of it. That being said i talked to the Hot Dog Man Terry the other day about maybe taking over his business. I have a business of my own but this would be something extra for me and my family, in a family oriented environment. I am from the Greensboro Area of the Triad. I have a 5 year old daughter and a great woman in my life. I am interested in his stand because it seems like its something everyone looks forward to seeing at Uwharrie when they come on and off the Trails. I wanted to get some input on how you think this would go for me if i don't change a thing. He sells a good product and in my opinion if its not broken i would not try to fix it. The only thing that would change is the owner of the stand and a new face. I however will have to apply for the same permits he has and hopefully i would be able to keep the stand exactly where it sits at Uwharrie National Forest and i would also welcome any other events that clubs have as well. Thank you for reading this post and i hope to see what some of you guys and girls think of this!

Are your stories as good as Terry's?:D[/quote

I have a story or Two! Prob not as good as his but im sure if i go through with this i will probably have a few to tell! Haha

A good meal in the middle of the woods will always be a sight for these sore eyes.

Just my 2 cents. Will certainly miss Terry and Belinda though, just great folks to see after a long day, always a good talk, a good meal, and a good laugh. Youve got big shoes to fill, but if your up to the task, Im sure the community here would support you.

Just be as courteours, friendly, and fair as Terry and Belinda were and you'll be just fine :)

We will need some help at the ECORS races as well!

You would be welcome at our Jamborees - Spring and Fall as well. We also have many other smaller events and trainings throughout the year on the UORTC property that we could negotiate about too.

Relationships is what it is all about!!

I'm glad to see someone else considering this... I had talked to Terry a while back about it, but I'm just not at a stage in my life that I could do it, so I let it drop. If you have the means to do so, PLEASE do. This is too important for someone outside the sport to move in and ruin.

We are meeting with Terry this week about the business. Looks as if we may be the next owner's if all goes well. I would like to see this business grow even more but at the same time keep the same quality food and fun atmosphere that Terry has brought to the table. We def have alot of boot left to fill, no doubt. We would also like to get on the Lake side some in the summer. First and foremost the 4x4 guys and girls will be taken care of. Im pumped to get this rolling so we can hit the ground running next season. I would def need all the support i could get. As far as the extra events go, yes i would def want to carry on Terrys business at all the venues that i would be welcome to. I want to keep the patriotic tradition and the good ol american way that Terry as provided
for so long. Thank all of you for your replies and support on this matter and hopefully i will get more input from you guys.

I would have to say stay involved with the comunity, attend as many rides and events as you can even if youre not slingin dogs.

Yup what they said.

Greg, i have helped Terry and even ran the cart for him on several different events. If you need any help or have any questions feel free to ask me. I live 15 mins from URE so if you need help to get started I would be willing to offer any help that is needed!

Although no one likes change when what we've had has worked so well, I vote for change to keep things just the way they are! Please be the new Hot Dog Guy! I haven't packed a lunch in how many years? lol
Keep the dogs on the trail!

I've never had the chance to meet him, but I have always heard great things about him and more than once I have been at an event and would have loved to have seen him there.
