Never been but I want to take the wife and experience the hot natural mineral water tubs period... We've both worked hard lately and we deserve it.
Is there just the Hot Springs Resort and Spa or is there others? Is the tubs like all together somewhere else and rented separately or are they in the private rooms / cabins? Or all the above? Anybody been and have recommendations on where exactly to stay?

I see "hot tub included" at every place to stay there but that could mean "chlorinated tap water straight from the town's finest sess pool of rejuvenated piss heated by an electrical element". I want the natural thing straight from the ground! I'd be pissed to rent a place up there to drive all the way and that was all I got when I can get that here in Durham.

I searched online and here and elsewhere and we can't make out much detail to know where to even start the planning. Figured someone on here would have the low-down.

Thanks!

I'd call the spa and ask questions. We've been to hot springs several times but never for the hot tubs... My parents went and looked into the spa but ended up not doing it. Don't remember if it was cost or what.

We've camped several times on the river across the street from the spa. There are cabins there (primitive). We've also stayed in the Inn ( above the saloon) and it was nice. There are also some good VRBO houses in the area. We've stayed at the Octogon house with some friends.

The tubs are outside, but partitioned from one another. you will have privacy. You can do the massage too. Not really a "resort" but the spa is awesome. In town, there is a nice little bar that has great burgers and usually a good craft beer to enjoy before or after the spa..

So are the tubs like owned by an old man hoarding them on a hillside with every cabin having access? Or are they owned by the HS Resort and Spa?

I'm really clueless...

I don't know who owns them. I have been there with my wife, and I service a paver up there too. Has a nice staff, walk in. Tell what you are wanting, they show you your options and you have fun..

Spring Creek Tavern is is the place for good grub and beers! The owners are good people.

Yep! I believe that's the place! Awesome burgers!

The outdoor hot tubs are private enough for shenanigans. They clean the tubs and replace the water after every session.

We rented one of the suites on sight that had a heart shaped hot tub in the room too that uses the mineral water. All in all we were wrinkley for the whole weekend and enjoyed it.

Don't blink or you'll drive past it it's a small little town with a couple restaurants and a few shops we just drive through there to get to my aunt and uncles which have some land on the French broad in Delrio

We stayed here last February,Riverstone-Cabin its about 5 minutes outside of Hot Springs. I would highly recommend it. Private cabin off of a private dirt road overlooking the French Broad river. Guy owns 3 cabins but we really liked this one, there is another cabin through the woods but you cant see it and your totally private. We will absolutely go back. I have always enjoyed backpacking in and out of Hot Springs but this was the only way my girlfriend wanted to experience it lol. Only thing the add fails to mention is the train tracks run right between the cabin and the river, but they also go through the middle of town and next to the resort so its not that big of a deal.
