How do I figure out whether or not if I have the 8.25 or the 35c on my xj with the 4.0, ax15, non-abs, and 95 model SE

I think, but not sure, you should have a 35. But, look at the rear of the housing. If you have a plastic fill plug with a dana emblem on it, you have a 35 if not then I guess thge 8.25

The shape is different. Do a search, find pictures, then compare.

With a non-ABS XJ, you could have the 8.25 or the D35. With an ABS XJ, you would definitely have the D35.

also remember that in some select years / package configurations (towing package). . .had D44 rears. . .

^ a 95 shouldn't have it i don't think. IIRC 87-89 were the only years that got the rear 44 with the towing package
